Kirsty Smith, aged 10, Bristol
"This lady came to see us at school. She told us we could go to a place called Barton Camp.

"We went for five days. No teachers came with us. We were looked after by people from a big company. They work with computers and make phones.

"My special leader has her own car and is 27 years old and isn't pregnant and has no kids. My mum is 27 and has four kids. I have to help look after them at home.

"We did swimming and played games and went on walks and did lots of drawing. On the last night we did a great show. I danced to the Spice Girls with my two friends. We won a prize.

"I liked Barton lots. It is in the country and I felt really safe there. People didn't shout at us, no one was hit and people seemed happy.

"When I grow up I want to be like my special leader and not like my cousins."
